Change of Command. Ship 2 is getting new youth leadership. We completed these step(s) in our five-step process:

Monday, 27-July-2020. New Quarterdeck planning session
Thursday, 23-July-2020. Election of officers
Malachi -- Boatswain
Nick -- Boatswain Mate - Administration
Steven -- Boatswain Mate - Program
Monday, 20-July-2020. Nominations opened for the Quarterdeck officers (Boatswain, Mate/Administration, Mate/Program). Three (3) of our scouts stepped up. Others are considering options.
Williamsburg. [Boarding Manual] We took our pilgrimage to the Newport News to visit the area. Given the state's Covid-19 rules, The Mariner's Museum was closed, so we went to the Virginia Air and Space Museum. We did stop by the park for the Mariners, but it was not the same. We also celebrated National Ice Cream Day, cooked s'mores in an oven, stopped at the Yorktown beach, and went through the Yorktown Battlefield Tour. See the boarding manual, above, for complete details.
Lake Phoenix. 11-13 July-2020. We headed to the lake for hours on the water: Swim. Snorkel. Kayak. Camp. Gel. Remember to stack your cards when playing Uno. Also remember to shuffle.
Aloha! Our Luau dinner was a hit.
Sea Base! We are still talking about our Florida Sea Base trip from last month. We participated in the Coral Reef Sailing adventure with Troop 2012 with four sea scouts in the crew. Our crew caught 75 fish! A week of Fun! We can't wait to go back.
